Project Detail

On October 3, 2018, Rotaract Club of Patan West organized an awareness program on child
sexual abuse and safe use of internet. The program was done for the students of grade 9 of Shree Chandi Adarsha Saral Secondary School in Lalitpur. Rtr. Sonuj Giri, Professional Development Director of RAC Patan West had received training on the said topics from a Training of Trainers (TOT) program conducted by Child Justice Coordination Committee (CJCC) and UNICEF. The program focused more on “prevention is better than cure” approach. Emphasis was also made on the appropriate measure to take should one become a victim or gets in contact with a victim. We were given 90 minutes of time to conduct the entire session. We divided the session into two parts i.e. Safe use of Internet and Child Sexual Abuse.
